Motawi Tileworks has just introduced a new tile based on one of my designs called “Starry Flowers”. It is available in three color ways.
I see on their website that they are offering a “Glaze a Tile” Workshop. That looks like fun!

I just opened a shop on the Creative Market site. I have one lonely group for sale but now that the shop is set up I can add some of the artwork that I’ve been working on lately.

My Seedheads Collection will be available this fall in its original colorway from Clothworks. The main pattern in this collection has already been used on other products and I’ve added coordinating designs to complete the group. It was a lot of fun to work on and I’m excited to see it printed on fabric.
Here is one of three gift bags showing the front and gusset design that will be in the stores this Halloween season. They were designed to incorporate glowing eyes. I’m anxious to see how they turned out.
Clothworks Textiles’ website has just added the new fabric collections that will be available in stores this summer. This includes a new group that I designed for Halloween called “Haunted Hill”.
The “Blossom Bliss” fabric samples from a new Clothworks collection arrived recently and I’m so happy to see the finished product. They look great! Simply having the fabrics to put next to each other in different combinations has inspired a years worth of new project ideas. Hmmm… which to do first?
I have just added some new work to my site. The artwork is for a Hallmark book titled “I Love You Anytime!”. The book can be personalized with photos of an adult and child that are placed inside the back cover. They will show through holes that are die cut on each illustrated page. It is such a cute format idea and a child recipient would get a real kick out of it. Hallmark has produced several books in this line. Take a look at the artwork under my Kids Art tab.
I created a book cover illustration of the folktale “The Little Red Hen” for self promotion and had a few postcards printed. “The Little Red Hen” story has always been one of my favorites. I have definitely identified with her on many occasions in my life. I’m hoping to do a series of covers for traditional tales.
I received these books a few months ago but I’m just now getting them photographed to share. They are recordable books where each page has questions for a child to answer preserving their adorable voices forever. The recipient pushes the button that corresponds to the page to hear the child’s answers.
Here is a sample spread…
I recently received these fabric samples in the mail. It is a collection designed for Clothworks Textiles called Fern Valley. It’s time to come up with some more fun sewing projects!
Wow! These just came in the mail. I am totally impressed. Pierre Belvedere produces very fine products and I’m thrilled and honored that they have used my artwork. I created a repeat pattern for them called “Seedheads” that was used on a padded matte finish journal cover and various temporary skins for applying to laptops, i-pads and i-phones. You can see them *here* and *here*.
I’ve been busy with several projects lately and haven’t posted for awhile. I should not over think this activity and just throw something out there. I want to share some preliminary sketches that were created in preparation for some finished artwork that I did recently. I love doing pencil sketches and I love seeing other artists sketches. In my case they usually have so much more energy than the finished pieces.
Motawi Tileworks, in Ann Arbor, Michigan produces fabulous tiles and they’ve created some based on two of my designs. I recently received some samples from them and I’m very excited to hang them in my house. This tile’s colors fit perfectly in my bathroom.
The second tile works well in my living room. Their website shows the unique process they use to create their tiles.
My daughter made an apron from two of the Clothworks Floral Folio fabrics that I designed. There are so many things that I would like to make with them.
