I grew up with one of the basic necessities to becoming an artist; unlimited quantities of paper. I earned a BFA degree from the University of Kansas. I was then employed for many years as an illustrator for Hallmark Cards, Inc. I am now a freelance artist. I enjoy creating many kinds of artwork, from wood carving and pottery to ink brushwork and digital illustration. Continuous reinvention has always been a part of my life as an artist. I live in beautiful Lawrence, Kansas where I have raised two wonderful children. I enjoy tending my vegetable and flower gardens and taking walks with my dog in the green space behind my home.
My work has been used on fabrics, ceramic tiles, desk accessories, posters, prints, greeting cards, gift wrap and children’s books.
